Kosningaréttur

Kosningarrétt við kosningar til sveitarstjórnar á:

  1. hver íslenskur ríkisborgari sem náð hefur 18 ára aldri þegar kosning fer fram og á skráð lögheimili í sveitarfélaginu,
  2. hver danskur, finnskur, norskur og sænskur ríkisborgari, enda fullnægi hann að öðru leyti skilyrðum a-liðar,
  3. hver erlendur ríkisborgari, annar en greinir í b-lið, sem átt hefur skráð lögheimili hér á landi í þrjú ár samfellt fyrir kjördag, enda fullnægi hann að öðru leyti skilyrðum a-liðar.

Enginn getur neytt kosningarréttar nema nafn hans sé á kjörskrá þegar kosning fer fram.

Prawo do głosowania

Prawo wyborcze w wyborach samorządowych posiada:

  1. każdy islandzki obywatel, który w dniu głosowania ma ukończone 18 lat oraz posiada adres zameldowania w gminie,
  2. każdy obywatel dúnski, fiński, norweski i szwedzki, który spełnia w inny sposób warunki wymagane w punkcie a.
  3. każdy obcokrajowiec, inny niż wymienniony w punkcie b, który jest zameldowany tutaj w kraju nieprzerwanie od 3 lat przed dniem głosowania i spełnienia w inny sposób warunki z punktu a.

Prawo do głosowania może wykorzystać tylko osoba, której nazwisko znajduje się w spisie wyborców gdy odbywają się wybory.

Eligibility to vote

The following are entitled to vote in municipal elections:

  1. any Icelandic citizen who has reached the age of 18 at the time of polling and is domiciled in the municipality,
  2. any Danish, Finnish, Norwegian or Swedish citizen, provided that the person meets the criteria of point (a) in other respects,
  3. any foreign national other than specified in point (b) who has been registered as domiciled in Iceland for an uninterrupted three-year period prior to polling day, provided that the person meets the criteria of point (a) in other respects.

No one shall be entitled to vote unless his or her name is on the electoral register at the time of polling.
